World Architecture Day is celebrated on the first Monday of every October, alongside the United Nations’ World Habitat Day. This day was created by the Union International des Architects (UIA) to “remind the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat”. With every project, JRS Architect, P.C. embraces our responsibility to improve the built environment and ultimately our collective habitat via our dedicated team and their thoughtful design and materials selected. We are proud to be a part of such an important profession for the past 35 years and remain committed to it in the years to come.
“The theme for 2021, ‘Clean environment for a healthy world,’ addresses issues involving housing, public spaces, and the environment, all in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, more than 1.6 billion people worldwide lack adequate housing, according to UNHabitat. By 2030, that figure could rise to 40 percent of the global population.” (Avery. D, 2021)
