Reimagined Spatial Concept

Reimagined Spatial Concept

JRS Architect P.C. was tasked with revitalizing a showroom space for a client looking to downsize, reflecting a shift towards online engagement and a reduced need for physical samples. The project’s primary objective was to refresh the existing space while transforming it into a versatile, one-stop destination for home renovation needs. The design concept focused on creating distinct areas within the large open showroom space that caters to various complimentary products for a “one-stop” shop when doing home renovations.  To achieve this, the layout featured central corridors leading from two potential entrances, with kiosk-style access points that facilitate customer navigation and interaction with different vendors.

The design aimed to establish a seamless flow through the space, integrating three levels to enhance accessibility and create an inviting atmosphere. Unique to this project was the approach of using visual cues to define spaces rather than relying on permanent walls, allowing for flexibility in accommodating different vendors such as hardware, plumbing, and wall coverings, creating a comprehensive home renovation solution.

This innovative layout supports dynamic use while addressing the challenge of maintaining clear, defined areas without the constraints of fixed structures. Renderings were developed to provide visual representation for construction estimates and rent projections, assisting in evaluating the project.
