Nestled in the heart of the bustling campus, JRS was entrusted with the task of transforming the space to become more aesthetically captivating and encourage increased utilization. Boasting a prime location, the site lay in close proximity to heavily trafficked areas and directly faced the campus library, solidifying its significance within the campus fabric. The concept seamlessly melded an open floor plan addition with sleek storefront glazing, crafting an immersive environment that offered panoramic views of the vibrant campus from every angle. Thoughtfully integrated overhangs and screens lent a touch of sophistication to the design, providing respite from the harsh sun and ensuring a comfortable ambiance within. To cater to diverse group sizes and dynamics, the interior addition incorporated folding glass partitions, effortlessly bridging the gap between the new and existing spaces. This vibrant social hub was meticulously accentuated with exterior up-lighting, illuminating its presence. Inside, pendant lighting fixtures were thoughtfully positioned, infusing the space with a sense of intrigue and boundless energy.
