Hanover Bank

Working with Hanover Bank since its inception, JRS leveraged its knowledge of the bank to design an innovative solution for their first location in Suffolk County, New York.  This space was to support not only a banking facility but also an office to accommodate employees based at this location as well as a touch down space for others.  Desiring a state-of-the-art banking facility that evolved their brand and the concept of banking, JRS’ design solution was flexible, playful, colorful and high “tech”.

The branch space was a standalone area yet integrated into the overall space using glass walls.   It is surrounded by key design elements such as the ceiling grid system of colorful acoustical beams flanked the space while offering targeted lighting.  Given the requirements of a flexibility workspace, a mix of office solutions were provided ranging from private offices and sit/stand stations to bench stations and collaborative areas.

Each of the offices around the perimeter have full height glass and have a rhythmic flowing graphic design, reflecting the colors of the acoustic beams on the ceiling.  This creates a playful milieu while affording some privacy to each office.   The colors of the ceiling and graphic on the glass walls is also mimicked on the fabrics of the chairs and the artwork as selected by JRS, all which reinforce the bank’s brand.

This new space offers the bank maximum flexibility for all users and allows all easy access to impromptu meetings in an atmosphere that is totally electronic.  The two window walls are electronically operated so that they automatically darken and lighten during the day depending upon the sunlight; therefore, no window shades are required which would ultimately block the outside view.

The space brings together a working environment that functions as an exciting, playful, flexible and comfortable environment to Hanover Bank’s team and visitors alike,  achieving their objective of a true state of the art facility at its first office in Suffolk County.
