With the belief that design is an integral part of a business’ success, Forchelli, Deegan, Terrana, LLP (FDT) challenged JRS to merge their culture and core values with a future focused philosophy. JRS responded with a strategic approach creating an open transitional office environment that not only enables their current needs but also is an enabler for their future requirements.
Guided by JRS’ program evaluation and various test fits, FDT decided to increase their footprint at their current location by over 15%. JRS’ design solution involved a complete gut and buildout of the new space, renovation of the reception/elevator lobby and the addition of a new conference center. Their existing space saw a major refresh including new flooring, wall treatments, lighting and furniture. Programming was critical in that the project needed to be phased with minimal disruption to the FDT team who occupied the floor as the work was completed.
With first impressions forefront in the design, the expanded lobby greeted a glass front moveable wall conference center designed for maximum flexibility. Perimeter offices remained intact though glass sidelights were added which introduced natural light to the open office areas and circulation corridors. Building on their community culture, an open and living Café, numerous collaboration and communal spaces and state of the art digital communications to facilitate multi-office communications were introduced.
Through the design solution which included clean, light and bright finishes, the JRS team successfully captured FDT’s vision.
